Small group training

Do you feel uncoordinated or awkward in group fitness classes? Does exercising in a room full of mirrors make you nervous? Do you skip the gym altogether because the machines are too complicated?

If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, you’re not alone. Many people struggle with feeling comfortable at a gym. This can make it challenging to keep up motivation to hit the gym, especially when everyone else seems to fit in just fine.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING AT THE ATC

At Amarillo Town Club, we understand that not everyone wants to exercise in a group setting. That’s why we offer small group training so you can get a personalized workout without the anxiety. Small group training is not a class, and it isn’t personal training. It’s an affordable and convenient way for you to meet your fitness goals without working out in a big group.

The goal of small group training is two-fold: to teach you how to tackle fitness and nutrition on your own while still staying at a price range that matches your budget. And, in addition to being cost-effective and beneficial for your health goals, these classes are small, with usually only three people per group.

When you join a small group at ATC, you can expect health benefits like:

  • Better blood work results
  • More energy
  • Improved sleep
  • Improved body composition

HOW IT WORKS

During your initial session, your certified ATC trainer will provide you with your complete body composition calculations, which they will use to calculate your lean muscle mass and fat mass ratio. With that information, you’ll learn your base metabolic rate, which tells you an approximate number of calories to consume each day to lose weight or maintain weight and lean up. Your personal training plan is then created based on these numbers and your goals.

We’ll coach you through each month so you understand why we put different exercises together. With this knowledge, you’ll be able to recreate your training on your own. Our nutrition coaching centers on the mentality that knowledge is power. Our goal is for you to understand what foods don’t work well together, when a pre-workout is necessary, and other important health and fitness information.

We work with you even when you aren’t at the gym! Your trainer will create individual workouts for you to do on your own at the time most convenient for you. Each week, you’ll send your food log for nutritional coaching and tweaking. You can even text pictures of restaurant menus and food ingredient labels for feedback and guidance.

But the best part of small group training is that we meet you where you are – not the other way around. Your workout and plan is created specifically on you for your needs. It costs about half the cost of having a personal trainer ($265 every monthly, which rounds out to about $33 per session) but has all the perks of one-on-one personal training. That monthly package includes two fitness sessions per week with your trainer, daily real time nutrition coaching, and the personalized on-your-own workouts.

If you are ready to take your fitness to the next level, it’s time for you to sign up for small group training! Call today to schedule your initial session.
