Youth exercise is important to help kids stay healthy and fit. It also has been proven to improve sleep, energy, mood and even behavior and school performance.
However, it can be challenging to fit time for your kids to workout into your already busy schedule, especially while juggling your health as well. Fortunately, Amarillo Town Club is offering a new youth program to help make it easier.
Our Cornell location is now hosting a new and improved youth fitness program. This class is from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in G3 every Monday through Thursday. Like all classes at the Town Club, this youth program is free and available to all members.
The new youth class is more flexible for busy parents. There is no need to sign up, just show up and drop off your kids. Kids will work out in 30-minute blocks in different areas of the gym. Each block highlights different workouts to keep the class fun and engaging. Kids can work out for 1-hour block of time, doing cardio games, circuit workouts, yoga, functional fitness or cycles for kids.
In addition to being flexible, the new class is more enjoyable for the kids, providing a richer variety of exercises varying every day. They get the independence of working out on their own while you get the assurance that they’re building muscle, increasing endurance and improving balance.
As always, our KidsCorner is available to children ages 6 months to 7 years of age. Any kids ages 8 and up are welcome to workout in the new program and have a blast.
If you have any questions about the youth workout program, call our Cornell office at (806) 468-0398. Or, stop by either of our locations to learn more about the kid-friendly activities at the ATC.
