SPRING RACES IN AMARILLO
AMARILLO MARATHON
April 8
All proceeds from this race benefit go to the Panhandle Cancer Cure Foundation. The events include a full marathon, half marathon, and a four-person relay, all commencing at 7:30 a.m. at the Texas Oncology Center.

April 15
This 5K, put on by the Amarillo Area Young Lawyers Association, benefits LegalAid of Northwest Texas. The day before Easter, head out to Thompson Park and get your hop on at 9 a.m.

April 22
This 5K run and 1-mile walk takes place at the Square in Downtown Canyon. The race begins at 9:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:35 a.m.

AUTISM AWARENESS SUPERHERO 5K
April 22
If you love to wear costumes while running, this is the race for you. Come dressed in your best superhero attire and benefit Helping Hands and increase autism awareness. This 5K is held in conjunction with the seventh annual Amarillo Area Autism in Action Walk. The race kicks off at 8 a.m. in Thompson Park.

The League of United Latin American Citizen hosts its third annual Cinco de Mayo race to benefit LULAC college scholarships for area high school students. The race starts at 8 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

HOPE AND HEALING HALF MARATHON AND MEMORY WALK

This run, which begins at the Amarillo National Bank Plaza, raises money for the The Hope and Healing Place. The Hope and Healing Place is a nonprofit organization created as a safe place to help children and adults during the grieving process. The race begins at 7 a.m.
